The first fall wedding of the year was Brittany and Kirk’s October wedding in Shepody, New Brunswick. I had met these two a few months prior to do their engagement photos and I was so excited to shoot their wedding after the amazing outcome we had during our first session! These two beauties had only ever had 4 photos together in the six years of dating, yet they rocked their engagement session so hard that I almost didn’t believe them when they told me that. I was so happy to be the one to add to their photo pile!
We had a beautiful cloudy day, with mild temperatures, and tons of mosquitoes buzzing about! Brittany and Kirk tied the knot behind her parents home in a large field which had absolutely breathtaking views from every direction! After the short and sweet ceremony, we jetted off around the area to take our couple’s photos, bridal photos, and family photos before the reception.
This was the ultimate DIY wedding as Brittany and Kirk, and their families, pretty much did it all by hand. Brittany did her own hair and makeup, as well as most of the other bridesmaids on the morning of. The laid back, BBQ reception featured many of Brittany’s dishes, that she cooked the night before! Yes, the night before her wedding, Brittany was decorating, cooking, and trying to catch some ZZZ’s in between. She even got on the BBQ at the reception and started cooking. Such a down to earth, care free, bride! She is pretty incredible!
These two have been together for years and their wedding was the perfect representation of themselves as a couple. Fun, laid back, and all about country. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the people were having a wonderful time.
I loved hanging out with these two sweet, loving, and thoughtful individuals. They rocked their day without a hitch! Congrats Brittany and Kirk!
