Introducing the adorable baby Theo!

I was so excited when Chelsy and Chad asked me to come take photos of their new baby boy only 4 days after he was born at the beginning of April. I have known these two for years and it was so exciting to see them in their new roles as parents. They were both so calm, collected, and attentive. Complete naturals. Baby Theo was sleepy and so darn cute! I absolutely love when I get the opportunity to go into a clients home and take photos of them in their environment with their new child.

Thank you again Chad, Chelsy, and Theo for having me! Congratulations again, and I wish you three the best!!

Susan | Fredericton Lifestyle Photographer

This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of shooting Susan. I contacted her because I loved the photos and feedback from our first shoot together, so I just knew I had to have her in front of my camera again!

We started off with a lifestyle session, in one of my favourite little nooks in the city. Little did we know… the snow levels were hip deep. I kid you not. We could only get a quarter of the way to the exact spot I wanted to shoot before we said NO MORE. I literally sunk to my hips with each step. Yet Susan, the trooper she is, in her dress and bare legs, didn’t complain once, just laughed with almost each step! When our legs had gone numb and my pants soaked through, we decided to move onto the more stylized section of our shoot on solid ground only a few steps away from the mountains of snow.

Susan had made this floral headdress almost a year ago when I asked if she knew anyone who could make them. I swear she can do it all! Her makeup, her hair, her outfit, and her natural ease in front of the camera is why I’ll keep coming back to Susan if I ever need a model on the fly. These photos are honestly some of my favourite photos ever! The headdress was perfect, everything about Susan was perfect, and despite the snow, the weather was warm! I had such a great time with Susan once again. This girl can do it all and she is so incredibly beautiful. I was so honoured she had agreed to be my model for the day!

2013 In A Nutshell | Fredericton Wedding & Portrait Photographer

I may be a little late on this, but I wanted to post some highlights of 2013. Now it would be impossible to post every single one of my favourite photos from last year, but I posted as many as I could.

Some of my most memorable and unforgettable sessions happened this year. I witnessed a beautiful baby come into this world (BREATHTAKING), I watched best friends get married to each other in a wedding they had to planned in just two weeks ( Definitely the most special wedding of the year ), I shot 8 weddings in total, all of which brought me such happiness and pride, I met some incredibly beautiful woman for a record number of boudoir shoots this year, I was able to witness families grow and come together, and bask in the love of so many couples through so many sessions. I  was able to re-connect with old friends and make amazing new friends along the way.

I feel so eternally grateful for all the people who have shown me support and continued devotion and loyalty toward me and my dreams.  I like to call them “lifers”. The clients that have been there time and time again, to trust in me any and all of their special photography needs. Some of my proudest moments and accomplishments happened in 2013, and I know that keeps my fire burning stronger for what to bring in 2014.

I have been following my bliss for almost three years now. It hasn’t always been easy, but at the end of the day, I couldn’t be happier. Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart. I look forward to bringing many new blogs, posts, and photos about the love of my life: photography. 2014, let’s do this!

Margot | Fredericton Lifestyle Photographer

This will have been my 4th time shooting with Margot since last Christmas. Two boudoirs, one glamour, and one family session down! I love this girl. Everything about her. The look, the smile, her attitude, everything! I always have such a great time shooting with Margot and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome this time when we opted for a more natural look. We were on location on Margot’s farm in Memramcook, New Brunswick. We had a great time with her puppies, her goats, and of course, her horse. The photos look simple and elegant, and she couldn’t look more at ease. Like she said ” there is no place I’d rather be, than be on this farm. ”

Monica | Fredericton Lifestyle Photographer

At the beginning of April,  Monica came all the way from Bouctouche to meet with me for a wonderful day of shooting. Though it was one of the coldest, windiest days it had been in weeks, Monica toughed it out, and refused to wear a jacket in order to get the best photos!

This young, tattooed beauty and I went all over Fredericton to find some of the best locations for our shoot. We started off in a girly, cute, balloon loving mood, and ended our shoot with a more sassy, model look. Love everything that came out of these photos. Monica has been in front of many camera’s before mine, but I have to say I have never seen her look so at ease and gorgeous. ( A little bias maybe? ) Haha! Seriously though, Monica is one sweet lady and I had so much fun shooting with her. She is a natural in front of the camera and I know tons of photographers would be lucky to have the opportunity to work with her.

Kristen | Fredericton Lifestyle Photographer

A familiar face was in front of my camera again last weekend to take on this on-the-whim photo shoot. We had gone for breakfast that morning, as we said goodbye she had mentioned she’d be in the library all day studying.

Moments later I texted her and told her I would have loved to have done photos today, but we can find another day where she doesn’t have to study. 15 minutes later, Kristen was knocking at my door, ready and eager to get into hair and makeup with me, and listen to my shoot ideas! We headed down to Odell Park and played around in front of the camera for an hour before my hands were too frozen to play with my manual modules!

Kristen is a true beauty, with a lovely soul as well. I am so happy I was able to “convince and persuade” her to do this shoot with me! Thanks again for a lovely afternoon together !!
