Emily’s stylized snake shoot has hit the blog! This was my fourth shoot with Emily in the last year! We’ve done a couple’s shoot, a boudoir shoot, a pet shoot and now a shoot with one of her beloved snakes.
We caught the tail end of fall with weather still decent enough to wear a dress and not completely freeze to death! I was unsure at first how I would cope with taking photos of a snake…I’m not the biggest fan to be completely honest. But this shoot has ( sort of ) changed my mind about them. The snake was calm and seemingly affectionate with Emily the entire time. He wanted her body warmth so he just kept close to her skin and weaved in and out of her hair. It was incredible to watch and incredible to capture.
We found a fairly unpopular walking trail close to Mactaquac and shot there. We did however, seem to scare the crap out of some lady on the trail, because as she as she did see we were shooting with a snake…she hightailed it out of there! Emily has such a innocent look about her, so angelic and beautiful. I absolutely loved shooting her again, and I know we will be shooting sometime in the near future with her, hopefully another awesome concept as the one we shot here.
Hair and Makeup was done by me.
