I first met Kyla when she was just a wee little eight month baby wrapped up in her mothers arm’s at our brothers baseball game in our hometown Aldergrove, BC. Six months after this photoshoot, I was able to photograph her wedding at one of my favourite venues, Fraser River Lodge ( I’ll get around to blogging it one day ).
I couldn’t have been happier to FINALLY get these two in front if my camera after having to reschedule multiple times, mainly due to poor weather! It literally couldn’t have been a more perfect, crisp, beautiful autumn evening for us. We were able to shoot in both golden light, and blue light, my two absolute favourite settings. The beach was empty, there was no one in sight in any of our locations, and these two ooze love for each other. This is the type of session that just gives you life. They followed every prompt like pros and it was so incredibly refreshing.
Definitely one of my favourite aspects of photography is being able to create memories with those I’ve known my whole life. Those I grew up with. I get to help stop a moment in time for their lives that they will look back on and share with their children and grandchildren. Thanks for choosing me to be there alongside of you throughout the beginning of your journey together!
