First day of summer brought us Tyler and Karissa’s Burnaby wedding, and what a beautiful day it was.
I’ve known Tyler for years, an account of my brother dating his sister since they were teens! I met Karissa a couple years ago when they first started dating and I was so thrilled to see how happy they made each other. I was honoured to have been asked to photograph their summer wedding. And how could I not be? They are both so incredibly photogenic.
Our day started off great! The sun was shining, the breeze was blowing, and the birds were chirping! Both the boys room and the girls room had ease and excited energy! We may have run a little ( maybe a lot ) behind for the ceremony, but hey, we’ll call it fashionably late! The ceremony was absolute perfect. Short and sweet. Which made up for our tardiness!
We then took the heard ( Tyler has 10 groomsmen, yes, 10 ), and did all of our formal portraits in the beautiful BC forest. Okay, it was a park, but it looked like a forest. We flew through the giant bridal party, finished with the bridal couple, then headed back for an amazing dinner at the fireman’s hall. Followed by touching toasts, delicious wine, and some sweet grooves on the dance floor.
Tyler and Karissa are two fun, loving, and caring individuals who care so much for each other and everyone surrounding them. Their wedding was beautiful and simple. All they cared about was getting married and showing people a good time. ( Open bar included in good times. ) Thank you two so much for such an amazing experience and I hope you cherish these photos for the rest of your lives together!
